Upgrade path for new users

I bought PHPForms Pro 1.0.3 (AU$120) only days before version 2.0 went to beta (June 2009), but there is no free upgrade path for users who bought the old product so close to v2.0 release. I had no idea that a new version was about to come out.

I think it is unfair that we should have to pay for a version that follows purchases within 2 weeks of a new release.

PHPForms 2 is a new software product, not the "newer" version of PHPForms 1. Our team did (and still doing) a great job in terms of improving usability and functionality of PHPForms.
Upgrading from v1 to v2 will be a paid service, and the price for this will be only the difference between PHPForms 1 and PHPForms 2 prices, like it was done with upgrading from NeedSecure 1 to NeedSecure 2. So, you won't pay any extra money, all you need to spend is the price for additional advantages of PHPForms 2.
Besides, we offer our customers an opportunity to get free upgrade from v1 to v2 according to the results of public beta testing (read http://phpforms.net/desk/index.php?topic=35.0). So, if you want free upgrade - it is in your power

Maybe not so close to release of V2.0   
Looks like beta testing has started all over again. Don't hold your breath for the actual release date.
