nFormat field
«

I just recently upgraded to PHPForms Pro (and I REALLY enjoy some of the features over basic), however one thing I noticed is when I use the nformat field option I can't set a lenght of the field. Also I entered in (###) ###-#### as the format, but the () don't show up. Is that by design? I thought maybe they would show up in the field to let the user know they have to enter their area code?
Thanks

Hello Customer,
If you choose the Field type "nformat" and choose the type of (###) ##-#### will not be filling this cell type (123) 45-6789 you should only enter 12345678 and the program will automatically convert it to (123) 45-6789
If you have a client that would have introduced brackets and other delimiter then you need to choose the Field type "Text" for this field

Thanks for the reply, and the field does convert the phone number to what I want. What I'm thinking it would be nice to have a dedicated phone number field so that when user pulls up the form they see the () automatically that tells them they need to put in their area code first. Also, with the nfactor field, I can't adjust the size of the field, or the max number of characters in the field properties, so it spans the entire width of the form. Is there no way to change that?

This can be done with the help of two fields, in the first field the user specifies the area code and the second phone number
But if you need it as you want, it to do our programmers for an additional fee.

How would you have the two fields right next too each other? I don't see any where that the program allows for that, it seems everything goes vertical?

This can be done with the PHPforms, but it can be done by editing the HTML code using FrontPage Editor or Adobe DreamWeaver or via Notepad if you have the necessary knowledge in HTML

So I would have to insert the whole code into my page and then edit the HTML?? It would be nice to be able to do that so all I have to do is insert the <?php include...> into the page. Maybe in a later version

Sorry for the inconvenience but this possibility does not exist yet. Perhaps in the next release we'll add it to the functional of our program.
