Description
It determines style of the element external outline. Unlike a line specifying through border, attribute outline is displayed round an element without influencing width of the block or its position.

Syntax

outline-style: none | dotted | dashed | solid | double | groove | ridge | inset | outset
Values
none
Outline is not displayed. If the attribute outline-width is present, this value blocks it.
dotted
The line consists of some amount of dots.
dashed
The dashed line consisting of short pieces series.
solid
Solid line.
double
Double line.
groove
It makes a groove outline effect.
ridge
It makes a pattern outline effect.
inset
There is a pseudo-three-dimensional framework. The right and bottom borders of it are clarified and the left and top lines are blacked out.
outset
The left and top borders have more light shade than the determined color and the right and bottom lines are blacked out.
