Tag BASE

Description
The element <BASE> is defined in the <HEAD> package and instructs the browser about the full basic address of the active document. Tag <BASE> is aimed for documents, in which the relative address is used and these documents can be relocated to the other folder or even to the other computer without communication loss. The browser searches for tag <BASE>, defines the full address of the document and downloads it correctly.

The Description of Tag <BASE> Parameters
Description
It is the address, which must be used to define the full way to files. It is usually the common way to the active document, but it can be defined by the other one, if it is optional for organization of the files on the site
 
Arguments
The full absolute way to the document.
Default value
The way to the active file.
target Parameter
Description
You can define the window, the web page, which is opened by the link, will be downloading to. The target parameter is used for this. The name of the window or frame is defined as its value. If the target parameter is not determined, the returned result is shown in the next window.
 
Arguments
The name of the window or frame is used as an argument. If a null name determined, a new window will open. As reserved names the following are used:
_blank downloads the page to the new browser window
_self downloads the page to the active window
_parent downloads the page to the frame-parent. If there are no frames, this parameter works as _self
_top disables all the frames and downloads the page to the new browser window. If there are no frames, this parameter works as _self.
